The thesp had women swooning from the moment of his first bare-chested scene in the hit BBC drama.

But in real life it’s clear Aidan only has eyes for one woman – Masters of Sex star Caitlin, who famously peeled off for the cameras in the raunchy series five years ago.

In it, she played a doctor’s wife who stayed faithful in the first season, but by the second was sexing it up with a number of affairs.

Irishman Aidan looked smitten as he and American Caitlin were snapped enjoying a romantic dinner in Rome.

The couple, both 37, have been dating since 2018 after filming fantasy movie The

Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot.

They were pictured gazing into each other’s eyes and holding hands across the table.

Aidan and Caitlin, whose late grandfather was deputy director of the CIA during the Kennedy administration, left the diner with their arms wrapped around each other.

Aidan split with artist Nettie Wakefield, 30, in 2017. Before that he was with fellow actress Sarah Greene. They separated in 2015 after five years. Caitlin meanwhile has dated Welsh actor Michael Sheen.

Aidan is in Rome filming new drama series Leonardo, in which he plays the famous artist.

The show charts DaVinci’s life from childhood to become one of the world’s greatest geniuses of art and science.
