Latest help for blind on show
A ROADSHOW to demonstrate the latest products and technologies for blind and partially sighted people, is set to take place in Sefton.
The Galloway’s Low Vision Roadshow is a chance for those living with sight loss and anyone who would like to learn more about the latest assistive technologies, to try out devices for free
Experts from the Galloway’s low vision team will also be on hand to offer advice and guidance.
Exhibitors include Dolphin Computer Access, Enhanced Vision and the Macular Society – and, for the first time, attendees will get a chance to try out products from Optelec.
Andrew Coleman from Galloway’s said: “I would encourage anyone who is experiencing sight loss or anyone who knows somebody who might benefit from these technologies to come along and see what’s on offer.
“There will be lots of opportunities to try out all the latest kit and we’ve found that having access to the right technology can make a real difference to visually impaired people.
“There is also a chance to get general information about the Galloway’s technology services on offer.
“Our team will be on hand to help and provide advice, support and guidance.”
The roadshow will be at Galloway’s Southport, 22 Wright Street, Southport PR9 0TL, 01704 534 555, on Friday, October 26 from 10am-2.30pm.
