Carer Donna wins jackpot!
THE St. Joseph’s Hospice Lottery pays out £1,500 to local people every single week and raises over £80,000 every year for the hospice.
One lucky person wins the weekly £1,000 jackpot but there are other prizes up for grabs too, including a £250 prize, a £100 prize and fifteen £10 prizes.
Last month, one of our jackpot winners was one of our very own healthcare assistants, Donna Jones.
Donna has played the hospice lottery for four years and has won £10 before, but this time her luck changed and she scored the jackpot.
Donna said she wants to share her winnings with her mum but she has also promised to take a well-earned holiday too.
The St. Joseph’s Hospice lottery has been going for over 16 years and has over 3,000 players, on average, each week.
Each and every player helps to fund the important work of the hospice.
For just £1 a week, all our lottery players have a chance of winning one of 18 cash prizes, including the £1,000 jackpot!
The odds of winning are far better than most other lotteries.
At St Joseph’s Hospice, we provide end of life and palliative care to over 200 people every year.
We also care for and support our patient’s families.
As a charity, we need to raise £3m a year to continue providing this care but we have ambitions far beyond this as we hope to be able to care for even more people in the future.
Playing the St. Joseph’s Hospice Lottery is a small way of making a big difference.
Your weekly donation of just £1 goes a very long way.
It may be a small amount but, because it’s a regular contribution, it helps us to plan ahead for the future too.
