Bells will peal for all of us

Midweek Visiter - - News -

DURING World War I all church bells were silent.

Once the Armistice was signed it was the signal for bells throughout the land to ring out and celebrate the good news.

As part of Remembrance services on November 11, bells will once again ring out throughout the country – just like they did 100 years ago to celebrate peace.

In Southport, bells will be rung after the service at Emmanuel Church.

Crossens Church bells will follow shortly afterwards and, finally, the ringers will dash over to Halsall Church to ring their bells.
