We have some pre-production sprues of the new Oathmark Mounted Humans from North Star. Due for a May release each £25 box will have 15 riders (on horses – I’d say ‘obviously’ but... well they are a fantasy range so you never know...). They have three different steeds in fairly energetic poses on each sprue and they went together faultlessly (being two part castings). The rider sprue is pretty flexible with a split at the waist allowing for some ‘swivel positioning’ of the men. They are mostly lightly armoured or unarmoured figures with brigandine or studded armour where any is shown. There are a few helmeted heads (spangenhelm types along with a commanders crested, full-visored item); plus lots of heads with hats and hoods (especially the latter). Weapons wise they have enough on a sprue to equip the entire force with bows; spears, or assorted single handed weapons (swords, maces and axes) plus a shield and shield arm for everyone: these are really pretty comprehensive!
