BANE OF KINGS
Oathmark supplement
The third supplement for Oathmark, Bane of Kings focuses on the passage of time and its effect on a player’s kingdom. While wars and battle still determine the ultimate fate of a players forces, the new rules take into account other ‘enemies’ that can affect the armies of a kingdom. Plagues and blights can affect recruitment and attempted coups can cost a king some of his best generals. On the other hand, unexpected alliances might give a kingdom access to unusual troops, or the birth of a new heir might bring some splendid presents. The new book also allows generals to train units to fight in special formations, such as phalanxes, shield walls, and skirmish lines. These will allow players to use their existing armies to try out new strategies and tactics to swing the battle in their favour. Bane of Kings also includes two new military expeditions, including six scenarios; new spells, abilities, territories and chariots for almost everyone!
