Brigade have some new 6mm AFVs in their range. They are a reduced size from the 15mm models they already make of the same sculpts (isn’t digital design a wonderful thing for wargaming) and are grouped as the Yenpalo Fire Support Group with three of each model, although all are available individually. The models are the Xarledi Heavy Support Tank; Xarledi Light Support Tank; Xarledi AA Tank; and the Xarledi Missile Tank. All are hovering vehicles with side mounted ‘sponson’style guns and a rear turret with a heavier main weapon. Detail of the (in this scale) 30mm long, all metal AFVs is good although, to put them on a short flight stand – or even a piece of wire inserted into the bottom to raise them off of the ground (and you really need to) – you’ll have to drill a hole to have somewhere to insert it. They are £1.25 each or £13.50 for the mixed dozen.

Brigade also have two new spaceship models for their 1/3000th range (very suitable for the likes of A Billion Suns). The Admiral Lazarev class Battlecruiser joins the Neo-Soviets as a fast, hardhitting capital ship. It has a heavy forward gun turret and a missile battery positioned behind. There’s also six Mass Accelerators. The second vessel in today’s release is the Vasilisk Fuel Tanker. Built on the same basic hull as the Ulyanovsk Fleet Carrier, the Vasilisk class are designed to haul vast amounts of liquid cargoes. As befits such a valuable ship and consignment, the Vasilisks have a small point-defence battery to ward off raiders. This later model is very impressive with a 130mm long resin hull featuring three large ball shaped tanks and four metal engines to stick on. The Admiral Lazarev class Battlecruiser is £6 but the Vasilisk is £12.
