1. DIECAST DILEMA

This is a shot of the basic vehicles. Scale wise they are all ‘about 1/100th’. The dozers are slightly small and the bigger Volvos are a tad large but – on the basis of the handrails at he sides of the cab – I thought they’d pass muster. The vast mine dump truck – in the real world these are 170 tons plus – says it’s 1/64th but, again, based on the rails and ladders, I’d dispute that. Anyway they are all clean, robust, pre-painted diecasts and about the right size. First off a ‘dirty’ spray using the now hard to find PSC weathering sprays.
