6. THE KILL DOZERS

-

The two Dozers were pretty much completed by now. Etched brass was added around the cab windows to protect them, ‘armour’ was added around most sides in a ‘hap hazard’ way (all stuck on with cyano glue) and two painted gatling turrets (Brigade) were added to the roofs. Mud, more weathering and rust were all added. These were achieved with mostly dabbed on paint (brushes and sponges) but some weathering powders were used.

Figures were then all stuck in position on the dump truck using cyano and tweezers and I was done building. Final weathering was added. I sprayed the underside using a dirt colour from Army Painter’s new airbrush range and it went on a treat. I added dirt in the wheels from Bastex supplied by Colour Party as I wanted to get the effect of grit – not just paint – in the treads of the huge tyres. Finally the models were spray matt varnished: Army Painter on the vehicles and Testors on the figures.
