4. ROOFING

The roof tiles were modelled from stiff cardboard (a couple of scrap gaming boards with the glossy printed layers removed).

These were, first cut into strips and then individual roof tiles and glued in place with PVA glue. I

have still to find a more effective method of tiling a model roof than adding tiles one-by-one: it’s very time consuming but can be relaxing if done in instalments or while listening to sport on the radio. Any gaps were filled with more DAS modelling clay.
