5. SEALING COAT

The completed roof was then further sealed with a layer of dilute PVA glue before I added a mix of ready-mixed filler, PVA glue and acrylic paint to which I have added some fine sand.

This concoction was painted on to the roof with a well worn paintbrush and stippled on to give additional texturing.

The groundwork was also given a layer of sieved stones and fine sand applied over PVA glue.
