28mm Barbarians

Brother Vinni makes a wide range of models, cast as kits in resin. Some of them are historical, some quite... pneumatic, but the Saga range they sell work well as leader types for historical and quasi-historical barbarian forces. Latest releases include a Barbarian in a wolf skin outfit (5€) which – while being very ‘Conan’ in terms of musculature – would make an impressive leader for your warband. Optionally, for 9€ he may be accompanied by a reclining woman, but – while we are on female figures – one of the recent releases is a splendid Shield Maiden (5.10€) available in a chain hauberk (with or without a helmet): a better Eowyn figure I’ve yet to see. brother-vinni.com
