I have reviewed all three of these books together as they all follow the same format although they vary in the number of pages. There are also other ships available in the Super Drawings in 3D range.

All books contain a technical description, construction details and potted history. Derfflinger’s service record is more substantial than the other two but in general the length of the text reflects the size of the vessel and the page count.

The bulk of the content is 3D pictures of the ship both overall and in expanded detail of many aspects of the ship, all in colour. Everything from exploded views of guns and ships’ boats to loading bays, turret arrangements, rudder drive shafts and engines, to mast and funnel locations. There is also a single A2 sized pull-out. For the A-III class torpedo boat the detail of the interior of the bridge is especially interesting and surprising that the other ships do not have this as it is the command centre of any ship. That said, this book is recommended for the specialist, model ship collector and modeller rather than the general reader.
