We saw some fabulous red skies on our first winter tour of Spain. This was taken in Altea during a four-week stay as part of a four-month tour last year.

I visited the Lake District for four days to celebrate a special birthday in October. I like all the photos we took, so I couldn’t decide which to exclude. The top photo is of my ’van all alone on the site, but I think my favourite photo is the second one showing a boat arriving at Bowness-onWindermere.

This was a long dreamed of holiday to beautiful Austria in July/August 2016, and one that did not disappoint.

We entered Austria at Bregenz, on the shores of Lake Constance. It took us almost three weeks to reach Salzburg, via Innsbruck, Söll in the Tyrol, Zell-am-see and the Großglockner, to name but a few.

The alpine roads and passes provide spectacularly breathtaking scenery, it is so lovely just to be waylaid.

In 2015 and to create a special memory I decided to take my son across the

USA and the iconic Route 66.

We rented a motorhome from Cruise America. It had a V10 petrol engine that would manage only about 8mpg (US). We left Chicago bound for the Pacific and a four-week adventure that would set the scene for what would be a life-changing experience.

Such was the enjoyment, by 2016 we had found our first motorhome here in the UK and have enjoyed this lifestyle ever since, holidaying both in the UK and in Europe.

We collected our first new Bailey (Generation 3) in June 2020 after placing an order at the previous NEC show and we’re delighted with our 79-4T and the future adventures we plan.

I wanted to share a trio of memories… 1. Beautiful – the stunning north Pembrokeshire coastline west of Porthgain. 2. Our cockapoo, Tosca. I imagine her saying, “Yet another new place. Do we go for great walks here, too?” (NB she’s not allowed on the seats!) 3. Curious – perhaps not the most useful stile in Wales!
