Campervan hire companies expand thanks to growing demand

The demand for holidays in the UK and the growth in popularity of motorhoming and campervanning is fuelling the expansion of hire companies specialising in the rental of recreational vehicles.

Both Indie Campers, which runs a hire fleet of 2,000 campervans and motorhomes, and Hey Campers, have just announced expansion plans.

Indie Campers, which has depots across the UK, has just opened a new branch in Manchester and is further expanding its fleet. It has also opened new locations in mainland Europe.

2021 will also see Indie Campers expand its UK fleet to feature its top model, the Nomad.

To celebrate the launch of its new 2021 branches, Indie Campers is offering a 20% discount for anyone who rents from its new Manchester location.

In addition, rental company, Hey Campers, in Coalville, Leicestershire, is also expanding.

From small beginnings, hiring out their own ’van when they weren’t using it, Trudi and Adam Lilley now offer a range of hire vehicles including four and six-berth coachbuilts from Benimar and Roller Team, with layouts offering bunk beds, single beds or an island bed.

Trudi commented, “We’ve already seen bookings for half of our summer availability this year and feedback from campsites is that they’ve seen a rise in enquiries, too.”

Hey Campers says it has added lots of personal touches and special extras to its motorhomes to make holidays in them truly memorable.

These include luxury bed linen, made-to-order food hampers, 5G-enabled WiFi fitted as standard and premium sports and movie channels on the TVs.
