Q Why will our control panel not work?

-

We have a problem with the NE268 on-board control panel on our 2014 Roller Team 590. It won’t switch on. We have checked the leisure battery, which is OK, and there is power in the supply as the Truma control panel next to it switches on.

Do you think it may just be one of the fuses in the fuse box?

AAs you say you have 12V power to the Truma control panel, so the basic 12V connection to the leisure system must be present. It was soon after your motorhome was built that Roller Team moved away from Nordelettronica electrics to Sargent in the UK.

There were a few problems around that time with Nordelettronica systems and several motorhome manufacturers stopped fitting these panels.

Having said that, let’s check the basics. It is possible that your system has had a software lock-up, so disconnect the leisure battery for a couple of minutes then reconnect it. You may find that everything now works.

The control panel is coupled to the main 12V electrical lump with a data cable and it is possible that this cable connector has become displaced at either end.

And, yes, it could simply be a fuse, so it’s worth finding your fuse box/fuse boxes and check the fuses.

Delta Conversions is one of several outlets that offer brandnew control panels for around £145.

The company advises you to phone first 01732 865435 and then you can ask about return possibilities if the replacement panel does not cure your problem.

The company’s website lists a Nordelettronica NE268 Control Panel (Part Number 1350.268.03), new from the factory in Italy. You can follow this link deltaconversions.com/shop/ols/ products/nordelettronica-ne268-control-panel-135026803

It says that it is a direct replacement for a faulty or damaged NE268, and that you can simply unplug the old one and plug in the new one.

But you have to ensure the part number matches your part exactly, otherwise there may be compatibility issues even if all the connections look the same. Apparently, the NE268 number is not enough. Good luck.
