Invermill Farm Caravan Park, Perthshire

-

Invermill Farm Caravan Park is perfectly situated close to the main

A9, midway between Perth and Pitlochry. We used it to break up our journey before a long drive back to Suffolk and it was just ideal.

The site is family run and the welcome was very friendly and efficient. We were shown to our pitch and the amenities were pointed out on the way.

Much of the campsite consists of seasonal pitches, but there are plenty of touring pitches and the one we were given was pleasantly situated beside the small River Brann.

The electric hook-ups are modern and fresh water and chemical disposal were both available close by. The amenity block, including the toilets, showers and laundry facilities, were completely spotless. The showers are free and the washbasins have soap dispensers and a hand dryer beside them. There are hair dryer points and you can even hire a hair dryer and an iron if you are desperate for a complete makeover! Dedicated disabled toilet and shower facilities

are also available, which is really good to see.

A big attraction of Invermill Farm is salmon fishing on the River Tay. But, even if you aren’t interested in fishing, the river, which flows through Dunkeld, also provides some lovely walks and scenery including Dunkeld Cathedral, just to the west of the village.

If you fancy something more strenuous, there are plenty of higher hill walks, mountain bike trails and an 18-hole golf course close by.

Dunkeld itself is a small village, located just one mile away from the site, but it contains a good range of gift shops, places to eat and drink and a Co-op, which stays open until 10pm.

It is a pleasant 15-minute walk along quiet paths from the site into the village, but just ask for directions when you check in; the site owners are only too happy to help and suggest places to visit.
