Laika launches two new Ecovip campervans
Laika has introduced two new Ecovip campervans, both based on the Fiat Ducato. The Ecovip Campervan 540, (5.41m long) has a transverse double rear bed layout while the Ecovip Campervan 600 (5.99m long) also has a transverse double rear bed but also gets Laika’s new Vario-Bathroom, with a washbasin wall that swivels to create a separate shower.
The new campers are available in four exterior colours: white, pastel grey, aluminium grey and metallic black and all get ultra-flat, aluminiumframed windows with up to three windows as standard in the rear sleeping area. In addition, the Skyview roof is available as an option on all models as an alternative to the rising pop-top roof with double bed.
The interior design, materials and finishes are in line with the rest of the Ecovip range, although the furniture is available in Moka oak (standard) or lighter Tuscan pear (option) finishes.
As with the rest of the Ecovip range, the table and kitchen tops are embellished with copper edging and the drawers feature convenient retractable handles.
In the lounge, the depth-adjustable sofa also has adjustable backrest inclination and comes with Isofix child seat fixing points as standard.
There is a double floor at the front, which provides extra storage and an additional element of insulation.
The kitchen has a worktop with folding shelf and the two open compartments underneath. There is a 90-litre fridge as standard (on the 600), while a 138-litre fridge is an option.
In the rear, the bed has an upholstered headboard and a bed base with hinged slats throughout. Access to the bed is made easy by a sliding step (on the 600). The garage below has a height of 65cm.
The Ecovip Campervans are suitable for all temperatures, thanks to the 6kW ducted warm air heater. An optional gas and electric or diesel and electric heater is also available.
In addition, the grey water recovery tank is insulated and heated (included with the basic package).
