Digging for discs
Q After losing touch with the hobby for a few years, I am beginning to get back into it, now that I have the space in which to work. I was reading George Dent’s book on detailing diesels and it mentions etched brake discs; where can I purchase these? I also remember a website advertising etched kits of various large bogie hoppers, including the National Power hoppers. Are these still available? Jason Fisher, by e-mail
A Unfortunately, I cannot find any available kits for the National Power JMA coal hopper wagons, with the nearest RTR option being to repaint the Bachmann (or Farish) Freightliner HHA. As for brake disc inserts, you’ve several options, listed above. (GD)
