BUILT TO LAST

Model Rail (UK) - - Layout Cheriton Bishop -

“As part of the refurbishment we replaced the railway buildings. Part-time club member Richard Harper built the signal box, engine shed, and station building. I built the goods shed, weigh office, and town buildings. “The railway buildings are inspired by those at Ashburton and Moretonhampstead - each building is scratchbuilt from a mixture of card, plastic card, and balsa wood.” The thatched roof on the Bell Inn is plumber’s hemp. The idea was inspired by an old Model Railway Constructor article.
