Model Rail (UK) - - Opening the box -

There’s a new name joining the ranks of 4mm:1ft ready‑to‑run manufacturers – and you can have a say in what it produces. Accurascale is the British‑ outline arm of Irish Railway Models, whose CIÉ cement bubbles are reviewed in this issue (p102). Accurascale’s first model is currently in tooling and will be unveiled in early 2018. Two more models will be announced next year. This will be the first year of a five‑ year programme of new releases. However, additional capacity in its Chinese factory means that Accurascale can undertake extra projects beyond its five‑year plan. Therefore, it wishes to hear from British modellers who wish to lobby a case for which locomotive, unit or rolling stock it would like to see produced. You can make your case at www.surveymonkey. com/r/accurscale-survey Accurascale’s models are produced in ‘OO’ gauge but have been designed to allow simple conversion to ‘EM’ and ‘P4’. It will also consider models in other gauges too, depending on demand. For more information, see www. accurascal or www.face accurascaleuk
