Charred remains:

This burned-out BR brake van makes for a sorry sight, but it’s a fascinating scenic addition to the corner of a yard. Either the guard was careless with the stove, or some nefarious youths have been up to no good.

High-voltage modelling:

Electricity substations have been a ubiquitous feature of the urban landscape for generations, yet we seldom see them featured on layouts. They’re always surrounded by high-security fencing, adorned with warning signs.

Have bag, will travel:

Passengers, awaiting their train at a sleepy branch line station, have their luggage at the ready. The porters’ trollies, stored around the side of the station building, add an extra touch of realism.
