Isolating gaps

Extra insulated gaps are required but you need nothing more complicated than Peco’s insulated rail joiners on the two tracks that form the inside of the ‘vee’. All you need to do then is solder a power feed to the tracks immediately beyond the isolating gap. Top tip: If in doubt, add an insulated gap! If you’re not sure whether an arrangement could cause a short circuit, it’s far easier to add a wire dropper to a dead section of rail than find a short and have to add a gap retrospectively.
