TURNOUT POINTS

-

The three-way point is best considered as two points that are interlaced together. Two point motors are required, but only two switches are needed. Using the asymmetric version as an example, the heel-end motor only needs to switch one frog and the other motor switches two frogs. As there are four frog ends, four insulated joiners are required. Again, it makes sense to connect one frog first and test as you go along.
