Option 2: Built-in switch

Some point motors and solenoids come with a switch built in, such as Seep’s PM1 and Dccconcepts’ Cobalt-ip. Peco’s trusty PL-10 can be mounted with the PL-13 (below) or PL-15 Twin micro-switches. Servos are gaining popularity for point operation, but require a separately mounted switch, often incorporated into the servo mounting bracket. Peco’s Smartswitch system is designed to work with servos. All of the above require some form of mechanical connection with the point blade or operating mechanism, be it externally mounted switches or internal switches, such as the Dccconcepts Cobalt and Tortoise range.
