Sleeping under the wires

I really enjoyed the article on the Caledonian Sleeper in MR253, and look forward to the follow-up. I have made the journey on the Lowland between Euston and Glasgow many times and always look forward to the trip with excitement. I’m also looking forward to the introduction of Mk 5 stock in October. I can’t hope to match Dave Lowery’s skills, but I thought I’d share some pictures of the ‘Sleeper’ I run on my layout. The Class 90 and Mk 3s are Hornby, and the Mk 2s are old Lima coaches with Amsies Models overlays. The stock is based in the first Scotrail era, but a GBRF Class 92 makes the odd appearance.
