I have spent several months trawling the internet trying to find ‘N’ gauge figures of fire fighters and police officers, including driving officers (pre-white cap but not seated) circa 1950/60s. I have tried all the usual sources, such as P&D Marsh, Langley Models and so on. The only police officers with the right uniform I managed to find were whitemetal foot patrol figures from Fleetline on ebay. Surely, I can’t be the only ‘N’ gauge modeller in Britain who is trying to populate their layout with figures from this era? I’m also trying to obtain an AEC Regent III Merryweather fire engine of the period. I’m tearing my hair out trying to find such models in ‘N’ – can any modellers point me in the right direction?
