glazing for scalescenes kits
I loved the Scalescenes box file layout that featured in MR257. Like George, my printer can’t deal with printing onto clear plastic. Is there an alternative source for the windows?

George says: Scalescenes kits come complete with a choice of windows, which can be printed onto clear film (if your domestic printer allows it) or onto regular paper. I originally opted for the latter, as they looked suitably grimy and opaque, which suited the industrial nature of this tiny layout. However, it’s a shame that the interior detail isn’t visible and the layout would look even better with the addition of some low-voltage interior lighting. Therefore, clear glazing would be a real boon.
Luckily, John at Scalescenes generously sent me a raft of samples of his Scale Glaze, which is designed to complement the amazing array of downloadable building kits in the Scalescenes range. Screen-printed onto flexible clear acetate, the windows come in many shapes and sizes, with domestic, commercial and industrial patterns. There’s also a printed paper template to aid scratchbuilders using Scalescenes’ sheets of general brick or stonework.
