Locomotion Models’ GWR ‘94XX’ No. 9400, produced by Bachmann Europe plc in ‘OO’ gauge, is now on sale. The prototype is currently on display at the STEAM Museum in Swindon, with the 1:76 scale version available for £134.95 plus £7.50 delivery. Locomotion has also partnered with Dapol to produce a museum souvenir van in dark grey with Railway Museum and Locomotion lettering. Only 250 have been produced and if you would like to own one of these limited edition vans and support both museums, it can be ordered from www.locomotionmodels.com or over the counter at Locomotion, Shildon and The Railway Museum in York for £15.

Locomotion Models has also commissioned Accurascale to produce its own ‘OO’ gauge Class 37. The split-headcode model will depict D6700 in as-built condition. The BR green ‘37’ can be pre-ordered for a deposit of £30 on the Locomotion Models website and is due for delivery in Autumn 2021 with a full price of £169.99.

Locomotion Models has also teamed up with Rails of Sheffield to commission four versions of the LNER ‘V2’ 2-6-2 from Bachmann. Two versions of preserved Green Arrow are being produced for Locomotion Models (in LNER and BR liveries) with two more ‘V2s’ being produced for Rails of Sheffield. This model utilises Bachmann’s all-new ‘V2’ tooling, which provides a 21-pin decoder socket mounted in the locomotive and a speaker pre-fitted in the tender for ease of digital sound installation, along with a realistic firebox flicker effect.

The ‘V2s’ are priced at £229.95 and the two versions of Green Arrow can be pre-ordered now from the Locomotion Models website with a deposit of £30, while No. 4843 King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry and No. 60964 Durham Light Infantry will be available from Rails of Sheffield. DCC sound options are also available for each model for £329.95. Web: www.locomotion models.com and www.railsof sheffield.com
