These new sheets by Noch retail at less than £2 each and can be cut easily with a craft knife or scissors. I chose pack ref. 56669 Industrial Wall with Graffiti.

2

The embossed card was cut from the main sheet using a ruler over a self-sealing cutting board. It was then glued to a piece of mounting card to give it extra strength and thickness.

3

A piece of the mounting card was also used as the capping for the retaining wall. This is a small extra detail, but one that creates a more authentic appearance.

4

Adjacent to the wing of the road overbridge,

I cut shaped a piece of Celotex home insulation foam to form a bank of earth. I painted the Celotex and all of the surrounding land with one coat of Woodland Scenics Earth Undercoat.

Woodland 5 Scenics Poly Fibre was used around the edges of the wall to represent the basis of the vegetation. The fibre was secured with PVA glue and to add the leaf effect I sprinkled Fine Turf onto a layer of hairspray.

6

The Poly Fibre needs to be teased out to make it light and airy before use. Both brown and green Poly Fibre have been used, with Fine Turf sprinkled on top, secured with the hairspray.
