MODEL OF THE YEAR 2023 IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO VOTE!

There’s still time to nominate your favourite models of 2023, in Model Rail’s Model of the Year awards, with voting open until February 15.

Voting is free and open to everyone, with automatic entry into our bumper prize draw for every voter. There’s over £2,400 worth of new models to be won, in ‘N’, ‘OO9’, ‘OO’ and ‘O’ gauges, so you could soon be enjoying a belated Christmas present!

Nominations consist of new ready-to-run models released during 2023, including locomotives, multiple units, carriages and freight stock, in each of the popular scales. You can also vote for your favourite model manufacturers and retailers, large and small. One thing we forgot to mention last month is that although four different Accurascale ‘OO’ gauge Class 37s are offered as individual nominations, the votes for each will be aggregated into a single total, as they’re essentially votes for the same overall product. We kept them separate, however, as we were very curious to see which of the different versions proved the most popular. The same goes for Accurascale’s Mk 5 and Mk 5a train packs within the ‘OO’ coaching stock category.

Remember, this is YOUR chance to recognise the hard work and innovation of those at the heart of our hobby. The results may also help to shape future decisions within the industry, so raise your voice and cast your vote today!

Voting is easy, just head to the Model Rail website and cast one vote per category. The poll closes on February 15 2024, and we’ll publish the results in full in Model Rail issue 324, on sale March 14.
