DEF LEPPARD BREAK RECORDS
OCTOBER 23
Promoting their Vault Greatest Hits 1980 1995 LP, Def Leppard enter the record books by playing gigs, all acoustic, on three different continents on the same day. Their private plane lands in Morocco for an early morning show at Tangiers’ subterranean landmark, the Cave Of Hercules. They then fly to London for a midday show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire and jet off to Canada for an evening concert at the Commodore, Vancouver. “We’ve played in Tangiers at a minute past midnight, in London at lunchtime, and now we’re gonna play live here for you tonight at 9pm!” a weary Joe Elliott tells the crowd.
