BELLA UNION. CD/DL/LP “Like goats walking in the mountain” is Xylouris White’s own description of their second album. Meaning, presumably, that Black Peak by the Cretan lute player Giorgos Xylouris and Dirty Three’s drummer Jim White sounds like a jam album by two utterly fearless masters of improvisation and sudden twists in the tale. Rarely can the lute have sounded quite as threatening as it does here.
