Ghost

A NAMELESS GHOUL SPEAKS

-

What music are you currently grooving to? A Fabio Frizzi soundtrack, Manhattan Baby from 1982. It’s Italian progressive horror soundtrack music, which I find myself listening to a lot. Where’s my place? Currently I’m in Linköping – mentally, an infernal region, a sort of hell.

What, if push comes to shove, is your all-time favourite album? I really don’t know, I have so many favourites. One I’d refer to as groundbreaking to me, and has a certain relevance today, is Love Gun by Kiss.

What was the first record you ever bought? And where did you buy it? It was probably a Stones record, Aftermath, from a store here in town in the mid ’80s.

Which musician, other than yourself, have you ever wanted to be?

The one I’ve mostly looked at with a certain awe was Keith Richards, that’s probably the guy I’ve found, throughout my life, the coolest ever. But then when it comes to playing I’d probably want to be David Gilmour.

What do you sing in the shower? Either something I’m writing or like, the last time in the shower I probably sang Cheap Thrills by Sia, he he. It’s a really good chorus. I like a lot of pop music.

What is your favourite Saturday night record? It depends. My life goes back and forth between a very domestic lifestyle and out on the road. If I wanna have a good time, AC/DC, the big one: Back In Black. It’s such a phenomenal record – You Shook Me All Night Long, Let Me Put My Love Into You...

And your Sunday morning record? New Trolls’ Concerto Grosso Per I New Trolls. Really good. Italian prog records between 1972 and 1976 have enormous musicality. If you wanna listen to really well-crafted songs that have had a lot of time and effort and probably reefer put into them, just go to the Prog Italiano section, ’70s.
