Win! A reproduction of Lennon’s Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite! poster

As is widely known, the lyrics for the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band song Being For The Benefit Of Mr.Kite! are largely derived from an 1840s poster for Pablo Fanque’s Circus Royal, owned by John Lennon. Imagine listening to the song while gazing at your own copy of the bill… which is where this month’s crossword comes in. Printed in a handnumbered limited run of 1,967 copies, a new super-faithful reproduction has been created by designer Peter Dean, who, with the assistance of British wood-engraver Andy English and Victorian type expert Graham Bignell, has used authentic methods and craftsmanship to make this as close to the poster Lennon bought in an antique shop 50 years ago as it’s possible to be. This month, we have two such super-covetable framed prints worth £420 each to give away. So get Nice Feller Dellar, The Fine Wine Cellar Dweller’s crossword filled in and send it to It’s Wall Too Much, MOJO, Academic House, 24-28 Oval Road, London NW1 7DT. Please include your home address, email address and phone number with your entry. The closing date is August 2. For the rules of the quiz, see www. mojo4music.com. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
