★★★ The Week Never Starts Round Here CHEMIKAL UNDERGROUND. LP Paul Savage’s remaster elevates the currently dormant Falkirk duo’s 1996 debut. Arab Strap would make stronger albums, but the best bits (I Work In A Saloon; The First Big Weekend) document life‘s banal mating rituals with a wit and pathos that’s uniquely theirs. KC
