MAHAKALA MUSIC. DL The second meeting of this multigenerational avantjazz sextet builds on 2019’s Garden Party. Led by the rhythmic pathfinding of Brian Blade and William Parker, they cycle through styles in unhurried fashion, the intertwining melodics of Chad Fowler’s alto and Marc Franklin’s clear-toned trumpet offset by Christopher Parker’s piano runs and Kelley Hurt’s cooing wordless vocals.
