“I first met Eddie in 1993 after a show in San Francisco. The first thing he said was, ‘I don’t want to be famous. I want to run away.’ And I said to him, ‘I’m afraid it’s too late.’ Since then we’ve become very good friends. I love his loyalty and commitment to his band. He’s also big mates with my brother Paul – people in Paul’s Ealing local know him well!”
