Give chairs a one- of- a- kind upcycled makeover

HOW TO MAKE A... wrapp ed chair

For a different way to revamp an old chair, try covering it in chincy patterned fabrics. Go for darker, more detailed prints to hide any scuffs – and then you won’t have to worry about the print matching- up.

Lookout at car boot sales for old chairs to buy in bulk and upcycle with vintage scraps of fabric for a bespoke one- of- a- kind look. Cut your fabric into strips. Use PVA glue to stick them in place, wrapping around as you go. Work on one area of the chair at a time to ensure good coverage.

Once the whole chair is evenly covered and every corner is glued down, leave to dry fully.
