Ten­sion is not im­por­tant for this project but it is im­por­tant to en­sure the stitches give a good fin­ish. As a guide, the granny squares mea­sure ap­prox. 5.5cm ( 2") square and the cir­cles ap­prox. 4.5cm ( 17/ 8") in di­am­e­ter.
