FINISHED SIZE

Approx. 90 x 94cm (35 x 37") If you hit on anything even remotely resembling one of these crochet beauties in a charity shop, you know you’ve struck gold. We’re not leaving it to chance, though – we’re taking matters into our own hands and hooking up a handmade blanket that’ll stand the test of time.

The fresh colour palette sets this crochet project apart from its vintage sisters – we got our yarn from our pals at Wool Warehouse ( www.woolwarehouse.co.uk), but you could also use your own stash.

Instructions

The blanket is made up of 39 motifs in nine colour combinations. Begin by completing Rounds 1-4 of each motif following the colour scheme in the chart on page 90. The motifs are then joined on Round 5 following the layout. Finally, a border is added around the edge.
