PARACETAMOL

Mother & Baby (UK) - - BUMP & BIRTH -

Some women take paracetamol in early labour. It’s probably harmless, but you might like to think carefully about how helpful it will actually be. Paracetamol is known to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis – and that’s the stuff that induces your contractions. More research is needed, but meanwhile, unless you really think it’s going to help, it might be best avoided.
