Hooray! 2019 is here and I can’t help daydreaming about all the fun family stuff I want to pack into this year. I love taking a mini life-pause in January to lift my focus from the everyday chaos and look forwards at the whole year stretching out in front of me, and plot an intended, if overly-hopeful course. I’m thinking holidays, happy kids, and handling the pandemonium of life on my parenting hamster wheel a little better!

I’ve tried them all and they’ve honestly helped me to accept that I’m a pretty good mum, thanks very much, at least in my kids’ eyes – and that’s what really matters. And I hope they help you, too – this mum-business can be tough at times, and accepting you’re doing an amazing job already means you’ll enjoy this crazy ride all the more. Happy new year!
