Ginetta launches new young driver scheme
Ginetta has launched a new young driver development scheme, and has signed four youngsters for the coming season.
British driver Jordan Sanders, Frenchman Remy Deguffroy and Americans Parker Chase and Harry Gottsacker are the first drivers to join the programme.
The scheme will allow the four to be placed with Ginetta customer teams around the world. They will work with Simpson Motorsport and factory drivers Charlie Roberston and Mike Simpson at test and development days.
Ginetta’s managing director Ewan Baldry said: “We will provide them with opportunities – both on and off track – to develop them into professional drivers.”
Sanders made his car racing debut in 2016 after graduating from karting. He raced in Vdev in a CN car and then swapped to a G57-P2, alongside Deguffroy. Chase and Gottsacker graduate from the Pirelli World Challenge, where Chase was rookie of the year.
