CAR: AUDIS3 The Audi S3 is certainly long in the tooth in terms of its British Touring Car Championship life, but it is still a competitive proposition and can excel at the faster circuits.

The team has expanded to run the MGS too this term and that means it will be all hands to the pump for Shaun Hollamby’s West Thurrock-based operation, but it has a solid base in the S3 which should allow it into the top 10 on occasions. Ollie Jackson, much like the car, doesn’t get the credit he deserves and will be desperate for a breakthrough result, while former singleseater man Sam Smelt has a lot to learn in his rookie season at this level.
