Daytona drive for Reid after Mini win

-

Mini Challenge Copper Pro class champion Kyle Reid will compete in the Daytona 24 Hour support race next year courtesy of his title victory this season.

The 29-year-old wrapped up the Mini title at the final round at Rockingham last weekend and in the process won the Sunoco 240 Challenge.

He will now contest the Michelin Pilot Challenge’s four-hour endurance race at the wheel of a Gt4-spec supercar on January 25.

He said: “I’m speechless; I mean this sort of thing just doesn’t happen to a lad from the Highlands who races a Mini.”
