Cat2 title decided

Both BHRC Category 2 and the BHRC2 title came down to a straight fight between Bob Bean/ Miles Cartwright (Ford Lotus Cortina) and Malcolm Rich/arwel Blainey (Ford Anglia). Rich had not been in Yorkshire for 26 years, while Bean has done these stages more frequently. Bean went half a minute clear in the darkness of Friday night and the matter was finally settled when the hardworking Anglia’s engine went poorly on Saturday.
