Ryan Blaney snatched victory in the Charlotte Roval NASCAR Cup Series race after leaders Martin Truex Jr and Jimmie Johnson collided at the final corner. Blaney was running third while Truex and Johnson battled for position in a threelap dash to the finish line after a late red flag. But in sight of the end, Johnson spun and tagged Truex as he went… Gabriele Tarquini still leads the WTCR standings but Thed Bjork closed the gap after two wins at Ningbo, China. Bjork, the 2017 World Touring Car champion, claimed the first and third race wins last weekend while YMR Hyundai team-mate Yvan Muller won the second… The race-winning Black Falcon Mercedes was disqualified from the Barcelona Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup finale for a breach of regulations. The #4 AMG GT3 in which Maro Engel, Luca Stolz and Yelmer Buurman claimed the BGTS Endurance Cup title was found with black tape on the air inlet tract in the engine compartment post-race. Black Falcon has appealed the decision… Former Bentley factory driver Andy Meyrick has recovered from injuries sustained in his Spa 24 Hours crash, including a fractured vertebra and broken ribs. Meyrick, who raced for the M-sport Bentley squad in 2013-15, will make his racing comeback next month in the inaugural GT4 World Final in Bahrain… The US Panoz team will continue racing next season in tribute to its founder Don Panoz, who died in September. Team Panoz Racing will again field its Avezzano GT in the Pirelli World Challenge after a successful 2018 season in the GTS class, including five wins… The Stephane Ratel Organisation will link its three continental sprint series into an 18-round global championship in 2019 under the Blancpain GT World Challenge banner.
