Chadwick makes return to GT4 Supercup
Former Ginetta GT5 Challenge champion Ollie Chadwick made a return to the GT4 Supercup at Brands Hatch last weekend – two years on from his one-off weekend in the series at Silverstone.
Motorsport has taken a back seat for the 22-year-old through 2017 and ’18 while he focused on his business, but hadn’t ruled out one-off appearances.
Last year, the Gloucestershire driver made victorious returns to the GT5 Challenge at Thruxton and Zandvoort.
“At the moment it’s just a one off,” he said. “The opportunity arose and I knew the team [Hart GT] very well – we had always talked about doing something.
“I’ll see how this weekend goes but I haven’t got any more plans.”
An eighth and ninth finish made for a solid start to the weekend, before he blotted his copybook by being disqualified in the final for ignoring a black and orange flag for bonnet damage.
Adam Shepherd also made a return to the series at Brands Hatch, having had to sit out the Rockingham and Silverstone meetings because of limited amount of sponsorship.
He scored a best of third in the final race and is aiming to gather funding over the winter for a return in 2019.
