GT4 Supercup Am champion Crees books GT4 and Porsche tests

Ginetta GT4 Supercup Am class champion Michael Crees has tests lined up in Porsche Carrera Cup GB and GT4 machinery as he evaluates plans for next year.

The 35-year-old, who won the GRDC+ title last year and beat the likes of Ben Barnicoat and Jake Dennis in the 2016 Henry Surtees Challenge karting event, bested Colin White by 73 points with 11 Amateur wins.

Now he is considering either a return to the GT4 series as a Pro driver, or a move into the Carrera Cup.

A BMW M4 GT4 test is also set to happen this week, before two outings in a Porsche.

“It’s amazing being here, never having been in a racing car or a trackday [two years ago] to come and win last year and this year win as well,” he said. “I came to Brands last year paying to watch touring cars and now I am standing on the podium – it’s so surreal.”
